About Kim Walnes
Kim's Philosophy

Clinic format is a minimum of two days, with a preference for three days or more. The reason for this is that the information can be so over-whelming in the beginning that it takes several times just to digest everything, and make it your own. The horses will always keep you honest in your new learnings!

The best format is semi private lessons. I can do up to three in a lesson if necessary, but keep in mind that I work till the information is absorbed, and thus rarely stick to time. Lessons tend to run 1 ½ to 2 hours, and so I can only do 6 lessons in a day.

I do another format entirely called INTENSIVES, which are only for people who have had at least one previous lesson with me. These are held over 7 days, with one day off in the middle. I can take a maximum of 10 people. These intensives are for folks who TRULY want to make a significant change in their riding, and break through the patterns that have been holding them back. I require all participants to be present for the entire time of the clinic, as a group dynamic forms that is important to the learning process. The days center around ground work, unmounted exercises, mounted lessons, videos, discussions, and lectures.
